About Aries

Aries goes first: into the room, into the argument, into the cold lake while everyone else is still testing it with a toe. You're the friend who already has their shoes on.

The ram is the one whose golden fleece Jason sailed off to find. In the Greek story it flew down to carry a boy named Phrixus away from a cruel stepmother and across the sea to Colchis, where its fleece hung in a guarded grove. Babylonian skywatchers saw a hired farmhand in these faint stars, which suits a sign that likes to get to work.

Aries in love

In love, Aries makes the first move and means it. You'd rather hear a clear no than wait three weeks on a maybe, and you light up around someone who'll race you to the car. After the chase, a good spark still needs someone to keep feeding it.

Aries at work

Hand Aries the launch, the pitch or the messy first draft, then step back. You work fast with a clear target, a bit of friendly competition and nobody hovering. Long projects get itchy in the middle, so pair up with someone who enjoys the wrap-up meeting.

Aries as a friend

When something goes wrong, the Aries friend is at the door before you've finished explaining. You'll stick up for your people loudly and in public. Arguments blow over fast because you've honestly forgotten them by dinner.

Best matches

Leo and Sagittarius share your fire and sit a comfortable trine away, so neither one ever asks you to slow down. Air signs Gemini and Aquarius fan the flames with ideas worth chasing. Across the wheel sits Libra, the classic pull of opposites: calm where you're quick, and better at the follow-up text.

Aries season

Mar 21 to Apr 19

Aries season starts at the March equinox, when day and night are briefly even before the days pull ahead. Everyone gets a little braver about starting things, like painting a room on a whim. It's the zodiac's new year, so the plan you've been sitting on since January gets a second shot.
