Capricorn horoscope

About Capricorn

Capricorn has a five-year plan and a very dry sense of humor people only discover later. You climb slowly, you don't fall off, and you remember who helped.

Capricorn is the sea-goat, a goat in front and a fish behind, and it's one of the oldest pictures in the sky. The Babylonians drew it as the goat-fish of Ea, their god of fresh water and wisdom. In a later Greek tale, the god Pan jumped into the Nile to get away from the giant Typhon, and only the half of him underwater turned into a fish.

Capricorn in love

Capricorn takes love seriously and shows it with actions more than speeches. You're the one who fixes the wobbly shelf and makes real plans for next year. Letting your guard down takes time, but once you do, you're devoted and surprisingly playful.

Capricorn at work

Work is often where Capricorn feels most at home. You like clear goals and the satisfaction of a job done properly, and people trust you with responsibility early. Every few years, check that the ladder you're climbing is leaning on a wall you actually like.

Capricorn as a friend

Your friends have usually been around for years and know the funny version of you. They call you for practical help, like planning a move or figuring out why the car won't start. You don't text every day, but you show up every time it counts.

Best matches

Taurus and Virgo share your patience and work ethic, so the earth trine feels dependable. Water signs Scorpio and Pisces bring out your softer side and are happy to lean on your steadiness. Cancer, your opposite, is all heart where you're all structure, which can make a home that's both cozy and well run.

Capricorn season

Dec 22 to Jan 19

Capricorn season starts at the December solstice, the longest night of the year up north, and carries everyone into January. It's the time of resolutions, fresh planners and quiet ambition after the holidays. Pick one long-term goal, start it small and stick with it.
