Seven of Swords tarot card, from A Little Witchy's painted deck
On our card, a grinning young person in a feathered cap tiptoes away from a camp of striped tents at night, arms full of five swords. Two more are left standing in the ground behind, and lanterns glow by the tents.

What Seven of Swords means

Tiptoeing off with five swords and glancing back to see who noticed. Someone's being a little sneaky, maybe a coworker taking credit, maybe you skipping the dishes. Be clever, but don't be shady.

The Seven of Swords is the suit's trickster, and the traditional picture shows someone sneaking out of an army camp with an armful of blades, very pleased with themselves. It's about strategy, secrets and getting away with things, and it can point either way: you being clever, or someone being less than honest with you. The two swords left behind are the giveaway that the plan isn't as tidy as it looks. In normal life it's a friend who's oddly vague about their weekend, or you inventing a prior commitment to skip a birthday party.

Seven of Swords reversed

The sneaky thing is about to come out, or your conscience is already tapping your shoulder. Come clean while it's still a small story.

Reversed, secrets have a habit of surfacing. It can mean a confession, getting caught, or deciding the sneaky route is more work than it's worth. Or it's a hint to stop playing it so close to the chest, since nobody can help with a secret plan.

In love, work and money

Love

Something's being left unsaid. If you're hiding a feeling, gently bring it into the open, and if a story you're hearing doesn't add up, it's fair to ask.

Work

Be strategic, but keep it above board. Get agreements in writing, and don't cut a corner you'd hate to explain to your manager.

Money

If an offer looks too good to be true, hunt for the catch before you click. Free trials that quietly turn into charges are this card's natural habitat.

Yes or no?

Leans no. something here isn't fully honest, and a plan built on a shortcut tends to wobble.
