Tarot card meaning: upright and reversed, in love, work and money.

Seven of Pentacles tarot card, from A Little Witchy's painted deck
On our card, a woman in a straw hat leans on her hoe at sunset, studying a leafy plant where six gold coins hang like ripening fruit, with a seventh on the soil at her feet. Sunflowers, cabbages and a basket of vegetables fill the garden around her.

What Seven of Pentacles means

Leaning on a hoe, looking at a vine full of coins that isn't quite ripe. You've done the work and now comes the waiting. Check on it, but don't dig up the seeds to see if they sprouted.

Seven is a pause for assessment, and in the Pentacles suit it's the gardener's long look at the crop. In the traditional card a worker rests on a hoe, gazing at a bush heavy with coins, weighing whether the harvest will be worth all the effort. It's about patience, slow growth and the honest check-in halfway through. In everyday life it's month three of learning an instrument, when you sound only slightly better, or a savings goal creeping up more slowly than you'd like.

Seven of Pentacles reversed

Annoyed it's taking so long, or pouring effort into something that won't ever grow. Decide which garden is worth the water.

Reversed, waiting curdles into frustration or doubt. You might be tempted to quit right before things ripen, or keep watering something that was never going to grow. Either way, it's time for an honest look at where your effort goes and what it's giving back.

In love, work and money

Love

A relationship may need more time than you'd planned. Take stock of what you've grown together so far, and notice whether both of you are doing the tending.

Work

Pull up what you were working on six months ago and compare. If the progress is real, keep at it, and if one task is eating your hours for nothing, prune it.

Money

Slow saving is still saving. Check on your goal once a month instead of once an hour, and don't judge the whole plan by a single slow week.

Yes or no?

It depends. the harvest isn't ready yet, so the answer may be yes, just not right now.
