What Death means

Relax, nobody's going anywhere. In tarot, Death means a chapter closing: the job, the habit, the version of you with that haircut. Something ends so something else gets the room.

Despite the name, Death, card thirteen, isn't about anyone's literal end. In tarot it's the card of endings, transformation and clearing space for what comes next. The classic rider carries a black flag with a white rose for renewal, people of every rank stand in its path, and the sun rises between two towers behind, so the message is that change comes for everybody. In everyday life it looks like leaving a job, moving out, or retiring an old version of yourself so a new one can grow.

Death reversed

You're clinging to something that's clearly done, like a hoodie that's more hole than hoodie. Let it go and see what fills the space.

Reversed, Death points to change you're resisting, like holding on to something that's clearly over or repeating an old pattern because it's familiar. The in-between gets uncomfortable fast, and taking the next step usually brings relief.

In love, work and money

Love

A chapter is closing, which could mean a parting, or a relationship shedding old habits and turning into something new. Let what's finished be finished so there's room for what's coming.

Work

A role, project or way of working is wrapping up. It may feel abrupt, but it clears the way for something that suits you better.

Money

An old money habit may have run its course. Close the account you never use and start next month fresh.

Yes or no?

Leans no. Death says the current situation is ending, so it's a no to keeping things as they are.
