Strength
Tarot card meaning: upright and reversed, in love, work and money.

What Strength means
The lion doesn't need a whip. It needs someone calm enough to hold its jaw and not flinch. Strength is the soft kind of tough: patience with the roommate, the kid, the part of you that wants to snap.
Strength is card eight in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, swapped with Justice from older decks so the order would fit astrology, with the lion standing in for Leo. It's the bravery that doesn't need to raise its voice: the lion is raw instinct and temper, and the woman calms it with patience instead of force. In real life it's keeping your cool with a difficult customer, being gentle with yourself through a rough week, or finding nerve you didn't know you had.
Strength reversed
Your fuse is short and the lion's winning, or you're doubting a toughness you've already proven. Eat something, then decide.
Upside down, the lion gets the upper hand, through snapping, impatience, or self-doubt that drains your confidence. You might be forcing something that would go better with a lighter touch, or quietly convinced you can't cope when you already have, more than once. Give yourself credit for the times you've handled worse.
In love, work and money
Love
Patience and tenderness win here. Be the steady one when things get tense, and trust that real closeness can handle gentle honesty.
Work
Grace under pressure gets noticed. Handle the prickly client with calm firmness and you'll come out looking like the most capable person in the room.
Money
Quiet self-control serves you well, like skipping the stress purchase or sticking with a slow savings plan. Small, calm choices add up faster than they look.
Yes or no?
Leans yes. Strength says you've got what it takes, especially if you go in with patience instead of force.
