The Hierophant
Tarot card meaning: upright and reversed, in love, work and money.

What The Hierophant means
There's a reason the recipe got passed down. The Hierophant points to the tried way, the mentor, the group that already knows the steps. Ask someone who's done it before you reinvent it.
Fifth in line, the Hierophant is the keeper of tradition, standing for shared beliefs, institutions and learning from people who did it first. The original card shows a religious leader blessing two followers, and the crossed keys at his feet stand for knowledge that's handed down rather than invented from scratch. In real life he's a mentor, a formal class, a club with a handbook, or the style guide everyone at work actually follows.
The Hierophant reversed
The rules stopped fitting a while ago and you're still following them out of habit. It's fine to quit the book club.
Flipped over, tradition starts to feel like a cage. This can mean questioning beliefs you grew up with, leaving a group that doesn't fit anymore, or doing something your own way and taking a little heat for it.
In love, work and money
Love
Shared values and traditional milestones come forward, like meeting someone's friends, making it official, or talking about what you each believe in. Matching values count for more than matching playlists right now.
Work
Training, certifications, mentorships and established procedures all do well under this card. Find the person who's done your job for twenty years and buy them lunch.
Money
Stick with conventional choices and well-known institutions for now. Anything that claims to beat the system can wait for a different card.
Yes or no?
Leans yes. the Hierophant approves of the proven route, so it's a yes when you're following steps that have worked for others.
