Judgement

Tarot card meaning: upright and reversed, in love, work and money.

Judgement tarot card, from A Little Witchy's painted deck
On our card, a winged herald in the clouds blows a long golden trumpet hung with a plain banner, while people young and old rise from beds of white lilies with their arms flung up. The sun is coming up over mountains and a lake in the distance.

What Judgement means

A trumpet sounds and everybody sits up. Judgement is the wake-up call: the old dream knocking again, the moment you look back at the last few years and decide who you're becoming next. Answer the door.

A trumpet wakes everybody up in Judgement, card twenty, the card of awakening and answering a call. In the classic deck an angel blows a trumpet and people below rise with their arms open wide, a symbol of rebirth and second chances. It's a moment of reckoning where you look honestly at your past, forgive what needs forgiving, and step up to what comes next. In daily life it's a career change after a long think, or the moment it clicks what you really want to do.

Judgement reversed

You hear the call and keep hitting snooze, or you're rewatching old mistakes like reruns. Cut the old you some slack.

Reversed, you might be ignoring that call, avoiding a hard look back, or judging yourself far too harshly. Fear of what other people will think can keep you stuck too. Give yourself the same fair hearing you'd give a friend.

In love, work and money

Love

Old patterns come up for review. It's a good time to forgive, start fresh, or finally make the decision you've been putting off.

Work

A calling or a fresh opportunity is knocking. Look back at what you've learned and use it to choose your next move.

Money

Pull up last year's spending and look at it honestly, without beating yourself up. The patterns you spot show you what to change next.

Yes or no?

Leans yes. Judgement signals awakening and second chances, so it's a yes, especially if it means answering a call you've been ignoring.
