The Sun

What The Sun means

Sunflowers, a kid on a white horse, a big grinning sun. This is the happiest card in the deck and it means exactly what it looks like: things go well, people like you, the plan works. Go outside and let somebody see you smile.

Card nineteen is the Sun, about as cheerful as tarot gets, standing for joy, success, warmth and plain good energy. A child rides a white horse under a beaming sun, with sunflowers behind a garden wall, a picture of innocence and freedom with nothing to hide. After the shadows and guesswork of the Moon, everything is lit up and easy to see. In daily life it's good news, a celebration, the confidence to be fully yourself, a sunny afternoon with your people, or the project that finally works.

The Sun reversed

Sunny with a few clouds, or you're too tired to notice the good stuff already here. Count it up before bed.

Reversed, the Sun is still a good card, just dimmed: joy that's delayed, a success smaller than hoped, or enthusiasm that's run low. Sometimes it's overconfidence, and sometimes you're simply too busy to notice what's already going well. The warmth is still there, so go stand in it for a minute.

In love, work and money

Love

Happiness and openness in love. Things feel easy, and it's a great time for plain fun together, like a day trip or a long lunch.

Work

Success and recognition are on the way. Your effort shows, so take the credit when it's offered instead of brushing it off.

Money

A bright, positive card for money. Enjoy it, share a little, and keep your everyday common sense.

Yes or no?
